Sunday mornings nourish our community life. On most Sundays about 150 members and friends are welcomed into the Great Hall by FUSS BUGS (greeters and ushers) and the faint smell of coffee brewing. At 10:30 a.m. the chimes call us to assemble in the circle under the dome. The chalice is lit, and a musical piece settles us into a special time and place before we share in our "Bond of Union" and " Affirmation of Faith." It is a time to gather together to experience thoughtful words, fine music, quiet reflection, and our personal joys and concerns.

Most Sundays the service is led by the minister, visiting minister, or invited speaker and a member of the board and follows a certain format. In addition to a sermon, readings, and musical reflections, most Sunday services include "The Child in Us," a special message for the children of our congregation, who attend the first part of the service with their parents and then gather in Waters House for the religious education program. Our music program deserves special mention. It is a combination of our Society Choir and Junior Choir, FUSS musicians, and visiting musicians. The variety and quality of the music that is part of our service every week is unique; it is a gift that is greatly appreciated by this congregation.

Special services are held throughout the year. They include the Water Ceremony on Resumption Sunday, the Christmas Eve Service with the Mitten Tree, the Poetry Reading Service on the Sunday after Christmas, Revels, the Youth Service written and presented by the Senior Youth Group, and the Summer Services which are presented by members of our congregation.

Visitors are always greeted and invited to join us after the service for coffee. Coffee hour is an extension of our gathering time — a time to chat with friends, visit at the social action table, and catch up with our community commitments, meet new people, or conduct church business. One Sunday a month, a luncheon is prepared and we join together in the dining hall after coffee hour. Coffee and Crullers, Sermon Talk-Backs, and receptions by the Oakroom Artists are other Sunday morning offerings.

The Sunday Order of Service includes a calendar for the coming week and lists our community announcements. Circles, the Society newsletter, keeps us connected through the week.
