Rev. Richter has a B.A. in political science and a master’s degree in social work. She received her master of divinity degree from Meadville/Lombard Theological School at the University of Chicago in 1992. Before entering the ministry, she worked in the Model Cities program, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, directed counseling and community services for a women’s center, and helped develop a pilot welfare reform program. Rev. Richter has served settled ministries in Oak Ridge, TN, and Indiana, PA and two-year interim ministries in Pittsburgh, PA and Plano, TX. She also served as a resident chaplain in a hospital in Huntington, WV. Her grown son lives in Montreal. She has rented a home in Schenectady while searching for a place to buy.
